Two Lots and CityWalk
Universal Studios Hollywood shops come in two layers. Inside the theme park, the shops are spread across the Upper Lot, where you enter, and the Lower Lot down the hill, and each land has its own store. You need park admission for those. Outside the gate, Universal CityWalk Hollywood is the promenade you walk through on the way in and out. Visit California notes there's no admission, so you can visit CityWalk without theme park tickets. You do pay for parking.
Universal's own blog suggests CityWalk if you don't have time for a full park day, and its Universal Studio Store carries much of the same event merchandise as the store inside the park.
Upper Lot and Lower Lot
Upper Lot: Hollywood
The Universal Studio Store is right where you enter the park, in the Hollywood section. It's the place for souvenirs from across Universal, and Universal says its event merchandise matches the CityWalk store. Next door in the same section are two more general shops. The Feature Presentation Store and the Animation Studio Store both stock seasonal and event lines, including holiday merchandise and, during Universal Fan Fest Nights 2026, anime and classic-monster pieces. 101 Exchange carried event logo merchandise during Fan Fest Nights.
Upper Lot: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
This land has the most shops in the park, and Universal's blog points to them for house gear. Ollivanders is the wand shop, where a wand keeper shows how a wand picks its owner. Gladrags Wizardwear sells house robes plus house beanies, scarves and jumpers. Filch's Emporium of Confiscated Goods sells plush creatures and gifts; Universal's 2024 guide places it inside the castle at the end of the Forbidden Journey ride. Owl Post sells owls to carry around the land as companions.
For Back to Hogwarts 2026, Universal said the land would carry new and parks-exclusive merchandise. Universal also says you can personalize some merchandise, such as house robes, and to ask a team member in the shop.
Lower Lot
The Lower Lot has its own Studio Store, which Universal's accessibility guide uses as a landmark next to the Lower Lot first aid station. In SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, 1-UP Factory is the land's store. Universal says the land's Power-Up Bands are sold at select retail locations and can be personalized. The Character Shop, also in the park, carried game-themed merchandise during Fan Fest Nights.
Tip: Universal's blog says the Wicked: For Good line is exclusive to Universal parks and is sold both in the park and at CityWalk.
CityWalk Shops
Universal's July 2026 CityWalk guide lists more than 20 shops. These are the ones to know.
Universal Merchandise
The CityWalk Universal Studio Store sells apparel, toys and souvenirs, with a section for the Wicked films. The SUPER NINTENDO WORLD STORE on CityWalk has apparel, plush, toys and bags themed to the land, which helps if you skipped the park. Cartooniversal is the family store, with toys, plush and kids' clothing from Universal's animated films. Production Central sells limited-time apparel and souvenirs, and its theme rotates every few months. Universal Bazar carries the UNIVERS apparel line and blind boxes.
Toys, Collectibles and Sports
Sanrio Smile Shop sells Sanrio plush, hats and mugs. POP MART sells collectible figures and blind boxes, and LINE FRIENDS SQUARE has plush, toys, apparel and accessories, including Universal collaborations. Celebrity Authentics, across from the cinema, sells posters, photos, toys and props signed by actors, with validation.
Sports fans have the NBA Store, which Universal calls the only NBA Store on the West Coast, with NBA and WNBA jerseys and signed memorabilia. The Dodgers Clubhouse Store has jerseys, bobbleheads and foam fingers. Lids does snapbacks, beanies and bucket hats, and Locker Room by Lids sells pro jerseys, tees and shorts.
Everyday Shopping
Sephora carries makeup, skincare, haircare and fragrance, and you can book Beauty Lessons. Shoe Palace sells sneakers from brands such as Nike, Vans and New Balance. Tillys has surf, skate and streetwear, and Hot Topic sells clothing and accessories inspired by movies, bands and comics. Sunsations, near the park entrance, sells sunglasses. The Los Angeles Sock Market sells patterned socks. Karma and Luck has jewelry, gemstones and crystals, and Nectar Life makes pastry-shaped soaps, bath bombs and body butters. IT'SUGAR is the candy store, with sour gummies and novelty gifts.
CityWalk Restaurants
For a sit-down meal, The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen serves savory dishes, milkshakes and sundaes. VIVO Italian Kitchen has pizzas, pastas and panini, and Antojitos Cocina Mexicana pours from a list of more than 100 tequilas and mezcals. Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, NBC Sports Grill & Brew, Wasabi for sushi and Buca di Beppo for family-style Italian round it out. Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. has a merch shop with shirts and mugs.
Quick bites are mostly upstairs at CityFood, up the escalators opposite the Universal Cinema. Pink's Famous Hot Dogs serves chili dogs and now breakfast. Slice House by Tony Gemignani does New York, Sicilian and Detroit-style slices, and Uncle Sharkii Poke Bar has poke bowls and boba. For sweets, try Voodoo Doughnut, the walk-up Hello Kitty & Friends Cafe, or CityWalk Pop for popcorn and souvenir buckets.
Tip: The CityWalk Starbucks sells mugs exclusive to Universal Studios Hollywood, and Universal says there are two more Starbucks in the park.
Metro and Parking
By Metro
LA Metro says to take the B Line subway to Universal/Studio City Station. Metrolink's directions add the last step: from the station, walk across Lankershim Blvd. to Universal Hollywood Drive, then catch a shuttle or walk 0.5 miles up to the park. Coming by Metrolink, ride to L.A. Union Station and transfer for free to the B Line.
Parking
Universal's CityWalk guide lists three evening and dining deals. General parking is $10 after 5 p.m. With a Universal Cinema ticket, General Parking is $5 if you buy the movie ticket and parking together in the AMC Theatres app, which gives you a barcode for the gate. Valet is $10 with validation from a full-service restaurant or certain entertainment, through the Jurassic Parking garage.
Hours
Visit California lists CityWalk hours as 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and notes that individual shops and restaurants may keep different hours. Check before you go.
Tip: Universal's blog points to ShopUniversal.com if you want something you saw in the park but don't want to carry it home.
